  • Joe Gentile
    General Manager

    Ohio native and avid Buckeye fan, Joseph Gentile has been in foodservice since he was sixteen. He has worked for many foodservice giants including Stouffer’s, Marriott, and Holiday Inn. Gentile has also spent time working as a Chef at Stouffer’s and as a working partner in an Italian restaurant. Gentile joined Bon Appetit in 2006, getting his start at Case Western Reserve University. Joe then moved to Angola with his wife, Jacqui, and three boys, Joseph, Jarrid, and Justin in 2012 to be General Manager at Trine University. He has a passion for attentive service and delicious food and expects excellence from himself and his staff.

  • Todd Downs
    Executive Chef

    Born in Springfield, Ill., Downs grew up in Ft. Wayne, IN and began his restaurant career at age 15. He graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Restaurant Business and later attended La Varenne Cooking School in Paris.

    Today, Chef Downs is an award-winning, American Culinary Federation Certified Executive Chef. In 2000, Chef Todd won a Gold Medal in the prestigious Culinary Olympics in Erfurt, Germany. His resumè includes Park Avenue Café in Chicago’s Gold Coast, guest appearances on Dinner Impossible, and being the creator of signature dishes for Hard Rock Café and Panera Bread.

    Todd joined Bon Appètit in 2014 at Trine University and combines culinary genius with Midwestern sensibilities to produce some of the most innovative and mouthwatering dishes we’ve had the pleasure of tasting.

  • Jacqueline Henderson
    Catering Operations Manager

    Jacqueline Henderson brings a wealth of skills to Bon Appétit at Trine. She earned a degree in Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry from Ivy Tech Community College in 2011, and she grew up in the family food business which has built in her a passion for feeding people good food. In 2016, she left a chef and event management position at Glendarin Hills Golf Club to join Bon Appétit at Trine University, where Jackie plans and manages catering operations. An Angola local, Jackie is highly involved in the community and brings a wealth of contacts and ideas from her years of culinary involvement. She approaches each day with intensity and a desire to plan events that will create lasting memories for her clients. Outside the office, Jackie enjoys using her skills to bake beautiful cakes for her family and coworkers. In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family and relaxing by the pool.

  • Danielle Beer
    Catering Manager

    Danielle Beer has served with Bon Appetit since 2006, starting as a front-of-house attendant. Her hard work and attention to detail promoted her to a management position. Danielle loves planning and hosting parties; she works with each client to ensure every detail is in order and the event is exactly how they imagined it. Working with Bon Appetit has expanded her love for food. She tries new things every day and takes the techniques she learns home to show to her husband, Andrew, and two children, Holden and Annabell. She works in her garden and enjoys the outdoors when she is not managing the café or planning an event. Danielle is enthusiastic about her work and raises the level of energy and intensity of all she works with. Her cheerfulness is apparent as her laugh is often heard throughout the café.
